Thanksgiving: Why is Thanksgiving important? Many parents today struggle to try and teach their children the answer to this question. It seems as though the gap between Halloween and Christmas continues to grow ever smaller, with Thanksgiving being lost in retailers' efforts to start the holiday shopping season earlier and earlier.

Dental assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:Dental assistants help dentist provide dental care. They often work in terms with dental hygienists and laboratory technicians. They may work in health clinics, dental schools, nursing homes and military, nut usually they work for dentist in private practice. Dental assistant duties include:

Helping patients feel comfortable during treatment

Taking and developing dental x-rays.

Taking medical histories for patients.

·       Sterilizing and preparing dental instruments and equipment.

·       Instructing patients about dental health care to include brushing and flossing.

·       Performing office management tasks.

Average salary: 14,000 - $25,000

Educational Requirements:

Dental assistants must have a high school diploma or GED certificate.

DENTAL LAB TECHNICIAN

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Restores natural teeth by fabricating crowns and bridges.

SALARY: Dental Lab Technician Salary $18.12. an hour

EDUCATION: The minimum education requirements for dental laboratory technicians is a high school diploma or equivalent.
